Seizure Disorders Community

Welcome to the Seizure Disorders Community of the Directorate of Health Services at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

Our mission is to create a compassionate and supportive space for individuals living with seizure disorders.

This community is a network of students and staff members who either experience seizures firsthand or are committed to supporting those affected by them.

We come together to share knowledge, encourage, and raise awareness about seizure disorders, aiming to enhance the well-being of our members.

Our Activities

1. Online Interactions on WhatsApp

Our WhatsApp group serves as an essential forum for members to connect, share experiences, and discuss important topics related to seizure disorders.

This platform encourages open dialogue, enabling individuals to ask questions, exchange coping strategies, and offer support to one another.

By fostering connections, we empower each other to face the challenges of seizure disorders with understanding and resilience.

2. World Seizure Disorders Day Celebrations

We observe World Seizure Disorders Day on March 26th each year to promote awareness and understanding of seizure disorders.

Our celebrations include educational workshops, health screenings, and community outreach programs focused on providing valuable information about seizure management and first aid.

World Seizure Disorders Day is celebrated on March 26th each year. Know more about other health awareness days.

We invite healthcare professionals to lead discussions on the latest treatments, research developments, and lifestyle tips, ensuring that our members have access to essential resources.

This day provides an opportunity for the community to come together, share personal stories, and inspire one another toward better health practices.
