Hepatitis B Community

Welcome to the Hepatitis B Community of the Directorate of Health Services at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

Our mission is to foster a supportive and informative environment for individuals affected by hepatitis B.

This community is a network of students and staff members who have hepatitis B or are dedicated to supporting those who do.

We come together to share experiences, promote awareness, and advocate for better health outcomes for everyone in our community.

Our Activities

1. Online Interactions on WhatsApp

Our WhatsApp group serves as a dynamic platform for members to connect, discuss, and share valuable information related to hepatitis B management.

We encourage open dialogue, where members can ask questions, exchange insights, and provide mutual support.

This interactive environment helps strengthen our community bonds and empowers individuals to manage their condition effectively.

2. World Hepatitis B Day Celebrations

Each year, we observe World Hepatitis Day to raise awareness about hepatitis B and its impact on public health.

Our celebrations include informative workshops, health screenings, and community outreach initiatives designed to educate and empower individuals about hepatitis B prevention and management.

Each year, we observe World Hepatitis Day on July 28th. Know more about other health awareness days.

We invite healthcare professionals to lead discussions and share the latest research and treatment options, ensuring our members are well-informed.

This day is also an opportunity for us to unite, share our stories, and inspire one another to take proactive steps in managing our health.
